I work out of Portland, Oregon across four disciplines: photography, design, marketing and communications. Some days that's a camera in a loud room where you only get one pass at the moment. Other days it's a campaign calendar, a set of key art, or the caption that finally makes the point land.
Most jobs start as a conversation and end with something someone actually uses: a campaign, a print run, a feed, a wall. Hiring one person who shoots, designs, writes and runs the channel means the picture, the layout and the words don't arrive from three directions and need reconciling.

Jorgenson Law
This is the day job, and it turned out to be the best writing gym I have ever had. Client letters, case correspondence, firm communications: everything has to be exact, plain, and unmistakable, because a sentence that can be read two ways is a real problem here.
I also handle the firm’s outward voice and materials, which means the design and comms work sits right next to the paralegal work. Being trusted with both is the part I am proudest of.
Freelance Media Production
The freelance side is where I get to say yes to almost anything: a shoot, a brand refresh, a social calendar, a set of prints for someone’s wall. Ten-plus years of it and the variety is still the point.
Working directly with people is my favorite part. No layers, no handoffs, just a conversation about what they need and then the thing itself, made by one person who saw the whole picture.
EMERGENT RPG
EMERGENT is where all four disciplines run at once. I lead marketing and design: key art, campaign structure, the copy that carries it, and the calendar that keeps everything pointed the same direction.
Building a world and then building the invitation into it is the most fun I have at a desk. It is also the clearest proof of what I am for: one person holding the whole look and voice of a thing together.
